Grants

Grants are need-based awards funded by the federal government, state, or North Park University. They are gift aid and do not need to be paid back. Students must complete a FAFSA to be awarded any grants.

Federal and State Grants

Pell Grant Up to $7,395 per year Funded by the federal government, the FAFSA is required to be considered for Pell Grants
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) Amount varies for Pell-eligible students Funded by the federal government, the FAFSA is required to be considered for SEOG
Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grant Up to $8,400 per year Illinois residents who complete the FAFSA by February 1 will be considered; students must be enrolled for 15 credits per semester to receive the full award amount.

 

University and Church Grants

North Park Grant Amount varies based on financial need. The FAFSA is required for North Park Grant consideration.
Covenant Grant $3,000 per year Awarded to active participants in the Evangelical Covenant Church who complete the FAFSA.
Credentialed Covenant Minister Dependent Grant Up to $2,500 per year Designated for dependents of credentialed ministers of the Evangelical Covenant Church who complete the FAFSA.
Legacy Grant Up to $3,000 per year Designated for non-covenant dependent students who have a parent or grandparent who graduated from North Park.
Church Matching Grant Up to $500 per year, depending on church contribution For traditional undergraduate students, North Park will match up to $500 per year given by a student’s church in their name. A separate application is required.
Camp Grant
(prospective students)
$500 Available to incoming students employed at a camp prior to attending North Park.
Camp Grant
(current students)
$1000 after first summer working at camp as an NPU student

$1500 after second summer working at camp as an NPU student

$2000 after third or subsequent summers working at camp as an NPU student

Available to students after they complete at least one year at North Park and then work at a Covenant camp during the following summer. Application and attendance at information session required.
